Two Palestinians sustain injuries in colonist attack near Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, July 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians on Friday evening sustained injuries in a colonist attack near al-Khan Al-Ahmar village, east of East Jerusalem, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.

It said that Israeli colonists attacked the village, where a colonist driving a motorbike rammed into two villagers, inflicting bruises across their bodies, and another colonist pepper-sprayed several other villagers.

It added that attackers attempted to steal a flock of sheep, but were repelled by the villagers. Israeli occupation forces stormed the village afterwards and detained four youths for attempting to fend off the attack.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
