President Abbas sends condolences to Syrian counterpart over deadly Damascus bombing

RAMALLAH, July 3, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday sent a message of condolence, solidarity, and condemnation to Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa following the deadly bombing that targeted the Syrian capital, Damascus.

In his message, President Abbas expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the victims of the attack, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

The President strongly condemned the terrorist attack, reaffirming the State of Palestine's rejection of all forms of terrorism targeting innocent civilians and undermining the security, stability, and peace of nations.

President Abbas also expressed Palestine's full solidarity with Syria, its leadership, government, and people during the tragedy.

He reiterated his support for Syria's security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, expressing hope for the swift recovery of those injured and extending his condolences to the families of the victims.
