Presidential spokesman urges international intervention to stop Israeli aggression

 

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, November 13, 2019 (WAFA) - Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh stressed today the importance of an immediate intervention to stop the ongoing Israeli escalation and aggression against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, which resulted so far in the death of 23 Palestinians and injury of several others over the past two days.

Abu Rudeineh said in a statement that President Mahmoud Abbas is making intensive efforts to halt the hideous Israeli escalation to avoid any repercussions.

He called on the international community, particularly the United Nations, to immediately intervene to pressure Israel to end its ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and to respect the law and the international legality, which affirm the need to provide international protection for the Palestinian people.

He warned of the consequences of this escalation, stressing that the region is going through a state of tension and instability as the Israeli aggression, aims at harming the interests of the Palestinian people.
