Clashes erupt in Jerusalem’s Issawiya, two youth detained

JERUSALEM, Friday, June 28, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli forces stormed the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Issawiya from all directions amid the firing of live bullets, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades toward residents, leading to clashes, said WAFA correspondent.

Israeli forces intensified their military presence across the town in the aftermath of the killing of Mohammad Samir Ebeid, a 20-year-old ex-detainee, who was killed by a live shot to the heart during clashes that erupted in the town on Thursday.

Forces raided several homes in the town and prevented residents from entering or leaving the town.

Two youth, aged 19 and 20, were detained during the clashes.
