RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 13, 2019 (WAFA) – The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee called today upon all parties who have been invited to the Manama workshop, called for by the United States, to refrain from doing so, as the workshop aims at establishing the principle of "money for peace".
During a consultation meeting in Ramallah, the PLO Executive Committee said it has not delegated any party to negotiate on behalf of the Palestinian people. "Therefore," it said, "the results of this workshop are null and void and will not create a right nor will they create an obligation."
It also called on the Arab states to adhere to the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002, as well as the resolutions of the Dhahran Summit of 2018, the Tunis Summit of 2019 and the 2019 Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, leading to the creation of an independent Palestine state based on the June 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Meanwhile, the Executive Committee condemned the illegal decision of the Prime Minister of Moldova to move his country‘s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, saying that the decision was null and void. It called on the Arab countries, Russia, EU countries and other countries to intervene to prevent this move.
The Executive Committee also said it will attend the educational conference in Tunis on July 7-8, calling at the same time upon the world countries to boycott the Manama workshop and its output.
