UNRWA says Israel's denial of international journalists into Gaza 'a ban on reporting the truth'

NEW YORK, June 7, 2025 (WAFA) - The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stated that the Israeli occupation authorities' denial of entry to the Gaza Strip for international journalists since the beginning of the aggression constitutes a "ban on reporting the truth."

In a post on the X platform, Lazzarini considered the Israeli occupation authorities' denial of entry to Gaza for international journalists since the beginning of the war to be unprecedented in any other conflict in modern history.

He emphasized that these practices amount to a ban on reporting the truth from the Gaza Strip.

He noted in his post that the practices of the occupation authorities against journalists, especially international ones, are "the perfect recipe for fueling media disinformation, deepening polarization, and obscuring humanity."
