RAMALLAH, Thursday, June 13, 2019 (WAFA) - The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine increased in May by 0.43% compared with April, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said in a report today.
CPI increased by 1.89% in Jerusalem and by 1.12% in Gaza Strip, while it decreased by 0.14% in the West Bank, it said.
When compared to May of last year, CPI increased by 2.82%; an increase by 2.83% in Gaza Strip, by 2.43% in Jerusalem, and by 2.37% in the West Bank.
The changes in Palestinian CPI for May 2019 are traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
