RAMALLAH, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Tuesday is warm in mountainous districts and very warm in the Jordan Valley with a significant rise of temperature which approaches 7°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly to northeasterly and light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 28°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Wednesday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 9°C above the seasonal average with warm and dry conditions in mountainous districts and extremely warm conditions in the Jordan Valley.
PMD expects Thursday’s temperature to significantly rise and approach 12°C above the seasonal average with extremely warm and dry conditions in all districts.
Friday’s temperature is set to be scorching and approach 14°C above the seasonal average with extremely hot conditions in all districts.
PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
