RAMALLAH, Sunday, May 19, 2019 (WAFA) – A statement by the Palestinian National Council, the Palestinian parliament in exile, regarding anti-BDS comments made by the German parliament were highlighted in the three Arabic Palestinian dailies on Sunday.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida and al-Quds said that the PNC described the German parliament to be biased with the Israeli occupation and the settlement enterprise after it condemned the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) and ruled it anti-Semitic.
The dailies also highlighted President Mahmoud Abbas’ meeting with the Russian ambassador to Palestine, Haidar Aghanin.
According to al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida, Abbas received a message from Russian President Vladimir Putin during the meeting with Aghanin in the presidential headquarters in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.
The papers attached a photo of pro-Palestinian activities protesting and calling for a boycott of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv after calls were made by Israeli non-profit organization Zochrot, a group that calls for boycotting the contest.
