RAMALLAH, Friday, May 17, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Friday is warm in mountainous districts and very warm in the Jordan Valley with a slight rise of temperature which approaches 7°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly and light to moderate with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 17°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 32°C and a low of 16°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 41°C and a low of 22°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 19°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to significantly drop and become little above the seasonal average, paving the way to clear and mainly pleasant conditions in mountainous districts and relatively warm conditions in the Jordan Valley.

PMD warns people against direct exposure to sunlight for long period, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
