Foreign Ministry, others condemn exoneration of Jewish murderer of Palestinian family

RAMALLAH, Monday, May 13, 2019 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates was among several Palestinian organizations that strongly condemned an Israeli court’s exoneration of a member of a Jewish gang responsible for the murder of three members of the Dawabshe family in the occupied West Bank in 2015.

In a plea bargain, murder charges were dropped against a Jewish suspect in the July 31, 2015 firebomb attack at the Dawabshe home in the West Bank village of Duma claiming that he was a minor at the time of the attack.

The arson killed an 18-month-old Palestinian child and his parents, who were burnt to death while an older son was badly burnt but survived the attack.

The Ministry stressed that the court was complicit in the cover up for the murderers, which it said was a crime in itself, and encourages other Jewish terrorists to continue to murder Palestinians and attack their property.

It said the Israeli courts had only days before exonerated another Jewish murderer who was responsible for the killing of Palestinian teacher and mother of 8, Aisha Rabi, who was killed on October 12, 2018 in a stone attack at her car in the West Bank.

The Foreign Ministry called on the International Criminal Court to start immediate investigation of these Israeli crimes against Palestinian civilians after the Israeli judicial system has failed to do its job and provide justice to the Palestinians under Israeli occupation.

Other similar condemnations and charges came from the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the Palestinian Prisoners Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner Society.
