RAMALLAH, Monday, May 06, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Monday is warm to very warm, dry and dusty with a further rise of temperature which approaches about 8°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is southeasterly and light to moderate in daytime before turning southwesterly in nighttime. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 33°C and a low of 17°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 32°C and a low of 16°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 23°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 19°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Tuesday’s temperature is set to significantly drop and approach about 5°C below the seasonal average with partially cloudy and pleasant conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts. A slight chance of scattered light rains is expected.

PMD expects Wednesday’s temperature to further drop and approach 6°C below the seasonal average with partially cloudy and mainly pleasant conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in nighttime. A slight chance of sporadic light rains is expected.

Thursday’s temperature is set to remain steady with partially cloudy and pleasant conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in the early morning and night hours.

People are warned against direct exposure to sunlight for long periods, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as well as of setting fire to dry grass on Sunday and Monday.
