RAMALLAH, Sunday, May 05, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Sunday is hot to very hot and dry and dusty, with a significant rise in temperature reaching 5°C above the annual average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
PMD also predicted weather on Monday to be very hot, dry and dusty, with yet another rise in temperature, approaching 8°C above the seasonal average.
Weather on Tuesday is expected to be partially cloudy and mild during day hours, relatively cold and cold during evening hours. Temperature is expected to significantly drop to become 5°C lower than its annual average. A slight chance of scattered rain showers is expected on some areas.
Partially cloudy to mild conditions during day hours and cold conditions during night hours are expected for Wednesday, with yet another drop in temperature, approaching 6°C lower than its annual average. A slight chance of scattered rain showers is expected on some areas.
People are warned against direct exposure to sunlight for long periods, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM as well as of setting fire to dry grass on Sunday and Monday.
