ISTANBUL, Friday, May 3, 2019 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh joined Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and world leaders today in the inauguration of Camlica Mosque, the largest mosque in Turkey.
Speaking on behalf of the Palestinian people during the inauguration, Shtayyeh took chance of the event to remind the world leaders of the violations carried out by Israeli occupation on Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, the third holiest mosque in Islam.
"The battle over Al-Aqsa is a battle of narrative. After more than 50 years of [Israeli] excavations beneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Israel has found nothing to prove its narrative," the prime minister told the world leaders.
Shtayyeh thanked Turkish President Erdogan for Turkey‘s support for the people of Palestine in its struggle for statehood and independence.
