RAMALLAH, Friday, May 03, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Friday is partially cloudy and pleasant in daytime and relatively cold in nighttime, particularly in mountainous districts, with a significant drop of temperature which approaches 3°C lower than the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly to westerly, and moderate to active. Sea waves are medium.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 11°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 21°C and a low of 10°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 17°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
PMD expects Saturday’s temperature to remain steady with partially cloudy and pleasant conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in the evening and night hours.
Sunday’s temperature is set to significantly rise and approach 5°C above the seasonal average with warm to very warm, dry and dusty conditions, particularly in the Jordan Valley.
PMD expects Monday’s temperature to further rise and approach 7°C above the seasonal average with warm to very warm, dry and dusty conditions in various districts.
People are warned against direct exposure to sunlight for long periods, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as well as of setting fire to dry grass on Sunday and Monday.
