RAMALLAH, Thursday, May 02, 2019 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received at his Ramallah office the Russian ambassador to Palestine, Haidar Aghanin, and briefed him on the latest political developments in the Palestinian territory.

The President also briefed the Russian diplomat on the Israeli measures that violate international resolutions and signed agreements, the latest of which was the decision to deduct from the Palestinian clearance revenues the equivalent of the money the Palestinian Authority pays for families of Palestinian prisoners held in Israel as well as the wounded and those killed by Israel.

President Abbas affirmed the historic relations between Palestine and Russia and the Palestinian leadership’s desire to strengthen it to serve their people’s common interests.
