HEBRON, Thursday, May 02, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers assaulted today several Palestinians who were trying to prevent the army from demolishing an animal barn in Masafer Yatta in the south of the West Bank, according to a local activist.
Rateb Jabour, from the anti-wall, anti-settlements committee in the south of the West Bank, said soldiers beat a number of residents of Khirbet Umm al-Khair, part of Masafer Yatta communities, during the demolition of the barn owned by Khairi Hathalin.
He said among those beaten by the soldiers was a 75-year-old man, who was assaulted with a gun butt causing him bruises.
Umm al-Khair is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military rule and Palestinians are not allowed to build in it or even develop it for their benefit.
