Foreign Ministry says it is following up on death of Palestinian in Turkey

RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 27, 2019 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said today that it was closely following up the case of Mohammad Ismail Bheisi, 30, from Gaza, who was found dead on a beach in Turkey.

It said in a statement that the Palestinian embassy in Ankara was informed by the Turkish Foreign Ministry that the body of Bheisi was found on a beach.

The Ministry said it was saddened by the news of Bheisi’s death in yet unknown circumstances and that the embassy in Ankara was following up his case in order to get his family to identify the body and to stand by it including transporting it for burial at home.

Some unconfirmed reports said Bheisi was missing for two weeks before his body was found on shore.
