RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 25, 2019 (WAFA) -The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential, non-residential and skeleton buildings in the West Bank increased in March by various rates in comparison to February, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said in a report today.
CCI for residential buildings increased by 0.11% due to increase in labor wages by 0.58%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.36%, and the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.03%.
CCI for non-residential buildings also slightly increased of 0.09% due to increase in labor wages by 0.58%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.37%, and the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.05%.
CCI for skeleton buildings increased by 0.30% due to increase in labor wages by 0.46% and the prices of raw materials by 0.29%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.29%.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) also increased by 0.19% in the West Bank during March compared with February due to increase in labor wages by 2.16%, rental of equipment by 0.73%, and operating costs of equipment and maintenance by 0.43%, while the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.29%.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) slightly increased by 0.04%, Water Reservoirs Cost Index increased by 0.52%, while Water Networks Cost Index decreased by 0.17% during March compared with the previous month.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) decreased by 0.18% in the West Bank during March compared with February, said the PCBS.
