Palestinian shot and injured at an Israeli army checkpoint north of West Bank

 

NABLUS, Saturday, April 20, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers today opened fire and injured a Palestinian at an army checkpoint in the north of the West Bank after he allegedly attempted to carry out a stabbing attack, according to Palestinian security sources.

They told WAFA that the soldiers shot the Palestinian, whose condition was not immediately known but claimed to be critical, at Za’atara checkpoint south of Nablus and then detained him. None of the soldiers were hurt in the alleged attack.

The Palestinian is believed to be 20 years old from a nearby village.
