RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 20, 2019 (WAFA) – Cold conditions continue today with temperature remaining 6 degrees Celsius below average. A chance of scattered light showers is expected on some districts, particularly the northern, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Wind is southwesterly to northwesterly, moderate to active and sea waves are medium.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 13°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 15°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

PMD expects Sunday’s temperature to drop further and approach 8°C below the seasonal average with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and relatively cold conditions. Rain and thunderstorms are expected on most districts with high wind approaching 60 kilometers per hour and high sea waves.

Partially cloudy and relatively cold conditions are expected for Monday with a rise of temperature which approaches 6°C below the seasonal average and light chance of rain on some areas.

Another rise in temperature is expected for Tuesday but remains two to three degrees Celsius below the annual average.

PMD warns people against high wing, low visibility and slippery roads, particularly on Sunday.
