QALQILIA, Friday, April 19, 2019 (WAFA) – Two journalists were among six Palestinians who were injured from gunfire today when Israeli forces attacked the weekly anti-settlements protest in the village of Kafr Qaddum, in the northern West Bank, according to local sources.

Morad Shtewi, coordinator of the popular resistance in the village, said Israeli soldiers fired live bullets, rubber-coated rounds and teargas canisters towards the protesters, injuring photojournalist Ayman Nubani of WAFA Agency and Nedal Shtayeh of Xinhua Agency.

The soldiers also assaulted and arrested a French solidarity activist during the protest.

Several other protesters suffocated from teargas inhalation.

Almost every Friday, Palestinians have been organizing weekly protests in the village of Kafr Qaddum to demonstrate against Israel’s continuing closure of the village’s main street, as well against the increasing Israeli settlement activities.
