RAMALLAH, Saturday, March 30, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Saturday sealed the main entrance to the village of Nabi Saleh, to the west of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to witnesses.
Army shut down with a metal gate the entrance to the village, forcing Palestinians to use longer routes to enter or exit the village.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces closed with cement cubes the entrance to the village of Azzun, to the east of Qalqilia city in the occupied territory.
Human rights group have long condemned Israel for imposing restrictions on the movement of Palestinians in the West Bank, describing the restrictions as a main tool which Israel uses to enforce its regime of occupation and control over the Palestinian population.
"In addition to the permanent restrictions in place, the military also employs travel restrictions in order to collectively punish villages, and sometimes entire regions, following instances of throwing stones or Molotov cocktails at roads," says Israeli human rights group B‘Tselem.
