RAMALLAH, Sunday, November 04, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli military authorities recently issued administration detention orders against 33 Palestinian detainees, including a member of the Palestine Legislative Council, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) on Sunday.

Ten of the detainees received administrative detention orders for the first time or were re-arrested and placed in administrative detention after being released from jail.

Khalida Jarrar, member of the Palestine Legislative Council, received an administrative detention order for the fourth time for a period of four months. She has been in Israeli jails since July 2017.

More than 400 Palestinians are held in Israeli administrative detention, including lawmakers. It is a procedure that allows the Israeli military to hold prisoners indefinitely on secret information without charging them or allowing them to stand trial.
