GAZA, Saturday, November 03, 2018 (WAFA) – Mohammad Nasr al-Rifi was only 10 years old when he was critically injured in Israel’s 2014 devastating war on Gaza. But after being on life support for four years, Rifi was declared dead on Saturday.
Medical sources said Rifi was injured in the cervical vertebrae and became quadriplegic. He remained hospitalized and on life support since then until he was pronounced dead at al-Wafaa rehabilitation hospital in Gaza.
Rifi’s father, brother and four of his cousins were killed in the same attack he was injured in after their house in Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City was bombed by Israeli warplanes.
Over 2200 Palestinians were killed in 55 days of Israeli bombardment of Gaza, among them 500 children, and over 11,000 wounded, among them 3000 children. Over 20,000 homes were also destroyed.
