Israeli forces raid Tulkarm neighborhood, detain two

TULKARM, Tuesday, October 30, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces raided late Monday Shweikeh, a neighborhood of northern West Bank city of Tulkarm, and broke into a number of houses, according to several witnesses.

They said that Israeli soldiers, in their pursuit of Ashraf Na’alweh, the main suspect in killing two Israeli settlers earlier this month in the illegal Israel settlement of Barkan, carried out a wide-scale raid and search operation into homes.

The soldiers, who used dogs in the raids, fired stun grenades and rubber bullets at random provoking cashes with Palestinian youths. No injuries were reported, however.

Soldiers also detained two residents of the neighborhood, one of them related to Na’alweh, and interrogated many others on the spot.

The forces also raided the home of Hanadi Na’alweh, Ashraf’s sister, and questioned her and her family and threatened her in case she offered any kind of help to her brother.

Ashraf is still at large as the army continues to conduct large scale manhunt for him and has raided his hometown several times.
