RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 25, 2018 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings remained stable in the West Bank during September compared with August, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday.
At level of major groups of the CCI for residential buildings, rental of equipment decreased by 0.69% and the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.11%, while labor wages increased by 0.25% during September compared with the previous month.
The CCI for non-residential buildings slightly increased by 0.03% due to the increase in labor wages by 0.25%, while rental of equipment decreased by 0.64% and the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.07%.
CCI for skeleton buildings slightly decreased by 0.05% due to the decrease in rental of equipment by 0.35% and the slight decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.09%, while labor wages slightly increased by 0.03%.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) decreased by 0.10% in the West Bank during September compared with August due to the decrease in rental of equipment by 0.30%, labor wages by 0.20% and the slight decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.03%. At the same time, operating costs of equipment and maintenance remained stable.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) slightly increased by 0.02% in the West Bank during September compared with August and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) slightly decreased by 0.01% in the West Bank during the same period.
