GAZA, Thursday, October 25, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes attacked early Thursday several locations throughout the Gaza Strip causing damage but no injuries, according to WAFA correspondent.
The Israeli army said the attack came after a rocket fired from Gaza fell in an open area in the south of Israel.
Extensive damage and fire broke out in the targeted locations, said the correspondent. The planes attacked a total of eight targets.
The strikes shattered few days of relative calm in the Gaza Strip as Egypt continues efforts to reach a long term calm between Israel and Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, eight people were injured on Wednesday night in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, after Israeli soldiers opened fire at Palestinians who gathered near the border fence with Israel.
The injured were taken to hospital and reported in stable condition.
