TOUBAS, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 (WAFA) – Hundreds of Palestinians participated on Wednesday in the funeral of Mohammad Mahmoud Bsharat, 23, who was killed in the early hours of the day when Israeli soldiers raided the town of Tammoun.

Residents said Bsharat was shot dead before any clashes have broken out with the soldiers who raided the town. The soldiers opened live fire at the Palestinians killing Bsharat and injuring six others, according to medical sources.

Bsharat was hit in the chest by a live bullet, said Abdallah Mahmoud, an eyewitness, who was the first to reach him after he was shot.

“I was the first to reach him in the fields. He was hit in the chest. He was bleeding profusely as I was holding him and he had blood all over him,” said Mahmoud.

Others said Bsharat was shot before any clashes have erupted. They said the soldiers opened fire at the people who reached the fields before there were any clashes.

“It took only one minute,” said one eyewitness. “There weren’t any clashes. The soldiers came from many directions.”

Medical sources told WAFA that Bsharat was brought to the Turkish Hospital in Toubas in critical condition and was immediately transferred to al-Razi Hospital in Jenin due to the seriousness of his condition but he died on the way.

Bsharat was the youngest among four brothers and five sisters.
