HEBRON, Wednesday, October 17, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished on Wednesday a house in the town of Yatta, south of the occupied West Bank, according to Rateb Jabour, coordinator of the anti-wall, anti-settlements committees.

He said that Israeli bulldozers demolished the house owned by Shehade Abu Taha without any prior warning, adding that the house is a two-story building and belongs to a family of 22 members.

In addition, Israeli forces demolished a house and an animal shed owned by Abdul Muneem Hawamdeh in the town of Samou, southeast of Hebron, according to Jabour.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military removed two tents Khader Nawajeh had set up near Soussia village in Masafer Yatta to shelter his family, said Jabour.

He said the soldier seized the tents to make sure Nawajeh would not erect them again and the family was left without a shelter.

Residents say Israel demolishes their homes in that area to make room for expansion of illegal Jewish settlements.

According to the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), Israel has demolished 48,488 structures since Israeli forces occupied the West Bank in 1967.
