GAZA, Wednesday, October 17, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes bombed several locations in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday causing a number of injuries, one reported in critical condition, according to Palestinians reports and medical sources.
Hospitals reported at least 10 wounded, six of them students who were on their way to school in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Four others were injured when warplanes bombed a location in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, with one person reported in critical condition.
Schools were closed in several areas in the Gaza Strip as explosions were heard in many locations throughout the besieged coastal enclave.
The air raids came after a rocket reportedly fired from Gaza fell at a home in Beer Sheba in the south of Israel causing damage but no injuries.
The renewal of hostilities were inflamed by Israeli military rhetoric about waging an overall war against Gaza if the almost daily border protests, which have been going on since March 30 as part of the March of Return activities, are not stopped.
Palestinians say the escalation in Israeli verbal war on Gaza were part of internal rivalry between Israeli officials for the right-wing voters.
