TULKARM, October 10, 2018 (WAFA) – In the Israeli army’s manhunt for a Palestinian alleged to have shot and killed two Israeli settlers on Sunday, soldiers raided early Wednesday the town of Shweikeh, north of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm, and detained 12 people, including one woman, according to local sources.
They told WAFA that the army has been harassing the town since Sunday following reports that the alleged attacker is from Shweikeh.
The army had detained the attacker’s entire immediate family during the last couple of days, including the mother and three sisters, but later released them after questioning them for several hours.
The alleged attacker, identified as Ashraf Naalweh, is still at large as the army and intelligence forces continue large scale manhunt for him.
Naalweh allegedly attacked and killed two Israelis in the illegal industrial settlement of Burkan, where he used to work, and seriously injured a third. The army says the attack was for nationalistic reasons.
