UPDATE: Israeli forces kill Palestinian, injure 220 others at Gaza border

 

GAZA, August 3, 2018 (WAFA) – At least one Palestinian was killed and 220 others were injured, 90 of them by gunfire, or sustained suffocation from teargas inhalation on Friday after Israeli occupation quelled the continuing Great March of Return protests at Gaza border, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said Israeli opened gunfire and killed Ahmad Yahya Yaghi, 25, while partaking in the protests east of Gaza City.

Israeli forces also shot and injured six Palestinian protesters at the border to the east of Gaza City, four were injured to the east of Khan Younes, and two others were injured at the border near the town of Jabalia.

Dozens others of the protesters also sustained suffocation due to teargas inhalation. 

More than 140 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since the outbreak of the Gaza border protests on March 30. Hundreds of thousands have been injured.
