KHAN AL-AHMAR, July 14, 2018 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah Saturday urged the international community to turn their statements of condemnation into actual steps to put a stop to what he said were Israeli war crimes in Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin community and other locations.,
Speaking from Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem, which is under Israeli threat of demolition and the uprooting of its community, Hamdallah said Israel seeks to eradicate this community and deny their existence in order to break Jerusalem away from the rest of the West Bank, which it also wants to divide by building a settlement in that area, which he said was a blatant violation of international law and conventions.
“After all these decades of dispersion, theft of land and resources, and settlement expansion, we are in dire need to see the United Nations resolutions implemented and our people protected from the repression of the Israeli military occupation,” he said during a visit to the afflicted community with officials and diplomats.
He said that the Israeli attack on the communities east of Jerusalem is part of a plan to change facts on the ground and end the two-state solution and any chance of establishing an independent, sovereign and contiguous Palestinian state.
The prime minister saluted all those who have been fighting to keep Israel from destroying of uprooting the Palestinian community.
