KHAN YOUNIS, July 14, 2018 (WAFA) – A young Palestinian identified as Mohammad Nasser Shurrab, 20, from Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip, died on Saturday of wounds sustained from Israeli army gunfire during the protests the day before at the Gaza border with Israel, according to medical sources.
The European Hospital in Khan Younis announced that Shurrab succumbed to his critical wounds he sustained hours earlier during the protests east of Khan Younis.
Shurrab is the second Palestinian who dies from Israeli army gunfire during the protests on Friday. Othman Rami Hillis, 15, was also shot and killed at the protests east of Gaza City. Over 200 Palestinians were injured.
The Ministry of Health said the murder of Shurrab and Hillis brings the total killed by Israel since the start of the protests at the Gaza border on March 30 to 139. Over 14,000 were injured, many remain in critical condition.
