MOSCOW, July 13, 2018 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in the Russian capital of Moscow on Friday evening, where he is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin and other world leaders currently visiting Russia.

Aside from attending the final match of the World Cup 2018, the President will discuss with Putin the creation of a new international mechanism for sponsoring the peace process and Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, the ongoing Gaza siege and other regional developments

Today’s visit to Russia is the first trip President Abbas makes abroad since recovering from a lung infection he was treated for last month.
