RAMALLAH, July 8, 2018 (WAFA) – Results of the high school matriculation exams, the tawjihi, announced on Sunday showed almost 66.69 percent success rate in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

In announcing the results, the ministry of education said while 72,604 students sat for the tawjihi exam this year, 48,420 students have passed, a rate of 66.69 percent.

He said success rate in the science stream was 82.40 percent and 61.27 percent passed in the arts stream.

President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated the successful students and wished those who failed better luck in the future.

Celebrations were held throughout the West Bank and Gaza as the results were announced simultaneously in both locations.
