RAMALLAH, July 4, 2018 (WAFA) – A decrease in the Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine during May by 3.16% compared to April, said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on Wednesday.

The decreased was due to drop in the activities of manufacturing industry by 4.85%, which had a share of 83.19% of the total industry, while the activities of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation increased by 15.93%, which had a share of 0.78% of the total industry, the activities of mining and quarrying by 11.67%, which had a share of 4.06% of the total industry, and the activities of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 3.77%, which had a share of 11.98% of the total industry.
