GAZA, June 8, 2018 (WAFA) – At least 386 Palestinians were injured, including 15 by live bullets, after Israeli forces quelled the ongoing protests at the eastern border of the Gaza Strip on Friday.
The number includes 15 live fire injuries, and the cases of five of them were described as critical.
Among the injured was photographer Mohammad al-Baba of the Agence France-Presse, who was injured when targeted by Israeli soldiers at the border to the east of Gaza City.
WAFA correspondent said further the Israeli soldiers fired teargas canisters at ambulances and medical teams, causing damage to at least one ambulance.
The protests kicked-off to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai peninsula and the Golan Heights.
