RAMALLAH, May 20, 2018 (WAFA) – Weather on Sunday is very hot, dry and dusty with a slight drop in temperature which yet remains higher than its annual average by eight degrees Celslius, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is northwesterly and light to moderate and active at times. Sea waves are low to medium.
Temperature on Sunday is expected to reach the lower to mid 30s in most of the West Bank with the exception of the Jordan Valley where temperature is expected to reach the low 40s during the day. In the Gaza Strip, temperature is expected around 30 degrees Celsius during the day and drops at night to around 22 degrees Celsius in the Gaza Strip and West Bank except for the Jordan Valley where temperature at night reaches the upper 20s.
Weather on Monday is expected to remain very hot, dry and dusty in some areas. Temperature is expected to drop while remaining higher than annual average by eight degrees Celsius.
Very hot, dry and dusty weather is expected to continue on Tuesday. Temperature is expected to rise, approaching eight degrees Celsius higher than annual average.
Temperature is likely to slightly drop on Wednesday but remains above seasonal average by six degrees Celsius. Dry and hot conditions continue to prevail.
PMD warned people about direct exposure to the sun for long periods during climate hours, especially between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and of the dangers of fire in areas of dry grass.
