Israeli army attacks protesters of US embassy move in West Bank

RAMALLAH, May 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians Wednesday suffocated after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli army forces to disperse the non-violent protest to condemn moving the US embassy to Jerusalem on Monday.

Israeli soldiers stationed at military watchtowers near Beit El military checkpoint (DCO) fired rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at protesters, causing many to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation.

Meanwhile in the city of Hebron, a number of students suffocated after inhaling tear gas fired by the Israeli army forces. The students were leaving the Tarek Bin Zayad School when Israeli soldiers provoked the students leading to confrontations.

All suffocation cases were treated at the scene.

Palestinians have been protesting against the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the bleeding violence in the Gaza Strip, in which Israel killed over 60 Palestinians.
