RAMALLAH, May 16, 2018 (WAFA) – Wednesday’s weather is mainly sunny, relatively warm and dry in mountainous areas and warm in other areas as temperatures are set to rise and approach three degrees Celsius (°C) above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Mainly clear and warm conditions are expected in nighttime. Wind is southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem is set to reach a high of 29°C on Wednesday and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah a high of 27°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho and the Jordan Valley, temperature is set to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza.
Temperature is expected to significantly rise and approach about eight °C above the average on Thursday with hot, dry and dusty conditions in mountainous areas and very hot conditions in the Jordan Valley.
Friday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 10°C above the average with abundantly sunny, hot, dry and dusty conditions.
Saturday’s weather continues to be very hot, dry and dusty in daytime with patchy clouds in nighttime accompanied with a further rise in temperature which approach about 11°C above the average.
PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun for long times, especially during peak hours between 11 AM and 4 PM and setting fire to dry leaves and grass.
