Turkey to call for OIC, UNGA meetings on Palestine - ambassador

RAMALLALH, May 15, 2018 (WAFA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan is going to call for emergency meetings for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to discuss Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people, said Palestine’s ambassador to Turkey Fayed Mustafa.

He told Voice of Palestine radio on Tuesday that the Turkish parliament is going to hold a special session today to discuss the general situation in Palestine, particularly in Jerusalem and Gaza, in addition to what Turkey can do to support the Palestinian cause after it had recalled its ambassadors to Israel and the United States in protest against the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

Mustafa said that Turkey has also declared three days of mourning for the Palestinians Israel has killed in the Gaza Strip on Monday.
