JERUSALEM, May 14, 2018 (WAFA) – The Israeli army Monday shot and detained a number of Palestinians in Jerusalem during protests that erupted against the opening of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
According to local sources in Abu Dis town, a Palestinian was hit in the neck while another sustained an injury in the foot. Both were transferred to hospital to receive medical treatment.
Israeli forces raided Shu’fat refugee camp and fired gas canisters and rubber bullets at Palestinians protesting the opening of the embassy.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces suppressed a protest in the area between al-Ezzariya and Abu Dis towns, injuring dozens and detaining a young Palestinian after physically assaulting him.
