RAMALLAH, May 13, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Sunday prevented an official medical delegation from entering the blockaded Gaza Strip, according to a statement issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The statement said Israeli authorities denied entry permits to members of a medical delegation formed by health Minister Jawad Awwad to assist the local medical staff in Gaza.

The statement stated this Israeli measure proves Israel’s persistence to deprive the sick in Gaza from receiving medical treatment; by either preventing medical staff from entering Gaza or preventing patients from leaving the Strip.

The ministry called on international organizations to pressure Israel to allow medical teams to enter Gaza to provide help to the medical staff there.
