Israeli forces prevents farmer from building around land near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, May 9, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday prevented a Palestinian from Nahhalin village, west of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem from building a wall around his plot of land, according to a local source.

Mayor of Nahhalin Hany Fonoun said that Israeli forces raided the northern part of the town and verbally informed Mahmoud Shakarneh that he was not allowed to build the wall around his plot of land. They did not hand him a written stop-construction notice though.

Fonoun added that area is being clearly targeted, noting that Israeli forces have been preventing the residents from engaging in any construction endeavor as well as developing and planting their farmlands around the town without written orders.

Forces have also been frequently seizing tools and equipments and putting the installation of irrigation pipelines.
