RAMALLAH, April 29, 2018 (WAFA) – The Ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates Sunday welcomed the historic summit, which brought together for the first time in 65 years, the leaders of South and North Korea.
The ministry said it salutes the positive developments in the Korean Peninsula and the historic summit that brought together the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the Peace House in Panmunjom.
It said in a press statement on Sunday, it hopes that the summit will achieve the hopes and aspirations of the Korean people and the world in bringing peace, stability and development.
The ministry further stressed the importance of peace in that region, which has witnessed, for decades, a state of war, tensions and instability.
