Protesters gather at Gaza’s border on Friday of Rebellious Youth

GAZA, April 27, 2018 (WAFA) – Hundreds of protesters embarked on gathering at the eastern and northern border of the Gaza Strip on what they called the “Friday of Rebellious Youth,” demanding their right of return to their pre-1948 homes in historical Palestine, as part of the ongoing Great March of Return protests that started on March 30.

The local youth organizations said today’s protests will be dedicated to the 40 protesters who have been fatally shot by Israeli occupation forces during the protests to date.

The organizers also said the protests will see the release of hundreds of balloons carrying pictures of the protesters killed to date by the Israeli forces.

The culmination of the Great March of Return protests will come on May 15, the day the United States is to officially open its consulate in occupied Jerusalem, the first day of the holy Muslim holiday Ramadan and the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian Catastrophe, the Nakba of 1948.
