Rise in construction and related cost Index in March

 

RAMALLAH, April 26, 2018 (WAFA) - The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings increase by 0.14% in the West Bank during March compared with February, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Thursday.

The increase was due to rise in the prices of raw materials by 0.40%, while labor wages decreased by 0.49% and rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.03%.

CCI for non-residential buildings increased by 0.12% in the West Bank in March due to increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.33%, while labor wages decreased by 0.49% and rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.01%.

CCI for skeleton buildings also increased by 0.38% in the West Bank due to the increase in the prices of raw materials by 0.83%, while labor wages decreased by 0.72% and rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.01%.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) increased in March by 0.32% in the West Bank due to the increase in labor wages by 0.82%, the prices of raw materials by 0.32% and rental of equipment by 0.30%, while operating costs of equipment and maintenance decreased by 0.61%.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) increased by 0.51% in the West Bank during March compared with February, and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) increased of 0.37%, said the PCBS.
