RAMALLAH, April 8, 2018 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday congratulated the new president of the Republic of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio on his election win, and Martin Vizcarra, who was swore in as president of the Republic of Peru.
Bio won a run-off election to become Sierra Leone"s next president with 51.81 percent of votes cast in the March 31 poll.
Martin Vizcarra was sworn in as Peru‘s new president on March 23rd, replacing Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, after the Congress agreed to accept the resignation of former president Pedro Pablo Kuczynski following a corruption scandal.
